A native of Franklin, Wisconsin, Jenny Crain followed her brother, Peter, into competitive running. She competed in Track and Field in the US Olympic Trials in 1996 as a distance runner.
On August 21, 2007, while on a training run for her fourth Olympic Marathon Trials, Crain was hit by an automobile. She suffered a myriad of injuries including extensive brain damage, ending her competitive running career and starting a lifetime of rehabilitation.
Today, Jenny Crain continues to inspire people on a bike, especially during this pandemic.
Thanks I needed that. I grew up in Franklin, Wi. I didn’t know the crains. Nice to see she has had some great care and a family member stepping up.
