Harvesting Garlic

June and July are a great time to harvest your garlic crop. Plant your cloves in the fall to ensure larger bulbs and harvest when the two bottom sets of leaves are brown. Gently dig around the bulb and brush off any remaining dirt by hand. After digging, bunch ten to fifteen of the bulbs together. Let the bulbs cure for three to four weeks in a cool dark place before being stored long term.

Harvested garlic can also be eaten fresh.
